Position : Reproductive Health Service Delivery Manager Job Summary
The RH Service Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing delivery of all facility and community-based integrated clinical services through performance of the following duties and responsibilities;
- Participate in recruitment and staff management of all clinical care providers, ensure all recruited staff are appropriately trained to deliver SRHR integrated services
- Participate in the development and update of quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all integrated mobile outreach service provision
- Work closely with MoH to ensure PSI outreach activities are implemented and monitored according to agreed processes and procedures.
- Ensures that staff is providing all beneficiaries of the programme with ongoing, age-appropriate verbal or written information in relevant languages about PSI Safeguarding Policy.
- Promote messages of safeguarding to partners and beneficiaries and community members in general.
- Ensure all integrated service delivery activities are approved, monitored and reported to all relevant District personnel in the districts we are working in.
- In collaboration with the QA Manager, develop mobile outreach monitoring system to ensure successful implementation of agreed upon standards
- Submit, in a timely manner, reports on service delivery activities for the different projects
- Develop a costed annual work plan for integrated services and monitor implementation of planned activities as well as costs of activities.
- Ensure all planned activities are fully funded through different projects
- In collaboration with the M & E team, ensure data collected for the different health areas is accurate and managed in an appropriate way
- Ensure timely procurement of all RH products and consumables
- Conduct review meetings with all RH personnel to foster team spirit within the department and organization
- Work with other departments and teams to ensure all RH personnel have all resources needed to ensure delivery
- Identify, document, and disseminate appropriate evidenced-based practices and incorporate into ongoing service provision
- Participate in the development of information dissemination materials, demand creation materials and activities with the SBCC Manager
- Ensure enough demand is generated for all services provided
- Liaise with the different project managers on the service delivery targets for each project, and ensure deliverables are met
- Improve targeting to reach out to more youth by supporting YA! activities to be linked to service delivery and building the capacity of demand creation officers to reach out to more youth
- Generate data for youth to build a case on investing in youth
- Represent PSI at national and international forums including subcommittee meetings and work closely with RHD to ensure services provided are in line with the national SRHR strategy
- Ensure adequate stocks of commodities at district level and flag out stock outs to the necessary authorities
- Monitor stock levels of commodities and supplies in all the three warehouses and provide instructions on stock transfers as need arises as well as make decisions on short shelf life commodities
- Monitor performance trends of the teams and support them as per need
- Collaborate with other partners implementing SRH activities to ensure services are complimenting each other and not duplicating
Required profile for job ad : Reproductive Health Service Delivery Manager - Masters’ degree in public health, reproductive health or any related field with a minimum of two years working experience in management level position or Bachelors’ degree in Reproductive Health, Nursing or clinical Medicine or any related field with a minimum of 5 years in management level position.
- Experience managing a reproductive/family planning health program required
- Strong budget management experience required
- Prior staff management experience required
- Good experience in working with different teams
- Extensive experience in project management and with cooperating partners, health public sector, NGOs and private sector
- Clear understanding of the Social-Economic fabric of the Country
- Good grasp of Reproductive Health and other Social Health issues in Malawi. Able to understand different donor requirements and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, facilitation & negotiation skills
- Skills to analyze, interpret and assist to solve difficult problems arising from the organization’s cultural diversity
- Be self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record
